Talia, a young Cuban woman born into a Jewish family, grew up believing that Muslims were terrorists and that Islam was a harsh religion. But after the events of October 7, she began to see the truth of what was happening in Gaza, and realized there was much more than what she had been taught. This pushed her to search and read about Islam.
With the guidance of a Jewish man who had returned to Islam and his wife, she began learning gently and gradually. Over time, she fell in love with Islam — its humility, its beautiful values — and felt that this was the path God had chosen for her.
One day before Ramadan, she went to the mosque, pronounced the Shahada, and became Muslim. She fasted her first Ramadan just one day after embracing Islam. Although she was alone, the Muslim sisters welcomed her warmly and supported her.
She faced difficulties because her family didn’t understand her choice, but she still felt deep peace knowing she was on the right path. Today, she lives the life she always hoped for — a life built on faith, values, and inner tranquility — and she feels that God has made every step easy for her.
Allahu Akbar 🤍
